2012 Women On Wheels Night - Thursday March 1st 6:30pm - 9:30pm
We have some amazing things planned for this years W.O.W. Event. Our huge free event will have complimentary wine, beer, and food, representatives from all our major brands, amazing discounts on clothing, accessories and bikes at this special one night only experience.
KEY NOTE SPEAKER: This year we are proud to announce that Tracey Gramenz will be our speaker at this years W.O.W. event. Tracey is the founder of Raw Retreats and a well versed bicycle guide.
An avid cyclist, Tracey has spent much of the past ten years in the saddle. She has toured self-supported through India, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, in addition to guiding professional tours around the Western U.S. She will share some of the entertaining highlights of her cycling career and include some practical tips for women along the way. She currently divides her time between towing a 7 month old on the bike and leading women's cycling retreats (www.rawretreats.org).
MC: Welcom back to Kat Sweet, one of our presenters from last year, will be our MC for the evening. She has been trained by IMIC and coaches her own program called Sweetlines. She’s a Cat 1 downhill mountain bike racer who’s competed in the X-Games. Now she is the Youth Program Coordinator at Cascade Bicycle Club and manages summer Dirt Camps and runs Trips for Kids Seattle, a Cascade Program which provides mountain bike outings and environmental education for kids who would not otherwise have these opportunities. She rides for the Greggs sponsored Team Dirt Corps.
RAFFLE: This years raffle will include amazing cycling products as well as two bikes compliments of Trek and Specialized! Raffle tickets are $1 and all proceeds will be donated to the not-for-profit organizations featured at the event.
Specialized will be providing a black/pink Vita for the raffle.
Trek will be providing a Lexa SL Compact Road bike for the raffle.

From Tricycling to Triathlons... Performance Nutrition from the Inside Out
Last year we're proud to announce our featured speaker: Emily Edison, the owner and founder of Momentum Nutrition and Fitness in Seattle. Emily Edison is a recognized expert in the area of sports nutrition. Emily specializes in nutrition for athletes, wellness, and the management of eating disorders. Her practice includes teaching people how to eat for performance, improve vitality, and to recognize their individual internal cues for eating. In her fifth season as the Sports Dietitian for the entire University of Washington Husky Athletic Department, Emily provides nutrition coaching for Husky athletes, coaches and training staff. The 2008 NCAA National Champion Cross Country, Crew and Softball teams, look to Edison for her sport nutrition guidance. Read more about Emily here.

The evening is all about you, the Women On Wheels! We'll have great food as well as wine and beer for those over 21. There will be a fashion show of the latest in women's cycling clothing and a chance to talk to vendor representatives.
Parking is located on the west side of the main building on the corner of NE 71st and Ravenna Blvd and one block east between NE 71st and NE 70th, just behind "The Greenlake" condo structure. We share the east lot with a local school so please make sure you park in one of our designated spots. Bike parking will be available the night of the event so feel free to ride in.
