Gregg's Cycle Fall Clothing Guide
Fall is officially here in the Northwest but that wont stop us from riding! With a bit of planning and smart gear choices, Fall can be one of the best times of the year to be out on the bike. The most important step for riding in the Fall weather is to have adequate rain gear. We recommend a nice breathable rain jacket, water repelling tights, and a nice pair of gloves. In this guide we will outline some of our favorite pieces of Fall clothing and all of our recommendations.
One of the most critical pieces of fall clothing is a good jacket. You will want a jacket that is either water proof, wind proof, or both. Keep in mind there are different cuts for different riders. Someone who primary rides to work might prefer a looser cut that someone who uses their bike for competition. As always, feel free to ask us if you have any questions.
With fall comes lower temperatures and the wind. A good pair of cycling tights and pants fight off the elements. Find the perfect gear for your ride with this collection of thermal, windproof, or waterproof cycling tights.
As temperatures start to fall a set of insulated gloves can be a ride saver. Keeping your fingers warm is critical for being able to operate your bike. We have options that are perfect for anything from a cool day to a snowy mountain bike ride.
