This long-sleeve jersey is primarily designed to provide sun protection without weighing you down. The main body is a lightweight micro-pique polyester that offers plenty of airflow while providing UPF 50 protection. The sleeves are exceptional for a summer-weight sun-protection jersey, since they're very light and stretchy so they don't weigh you down while blocking 97% of UV rays (UPF 30). The Prologo 7 long sleeve is also a great jersey for cool spring and autumn days. The first goal of this base layer is to move moisture away from your skin while adding minimal insulation for those cool days when your riding intensity is high enough and your outer layers are warm enough. The areas covered by the bibtight around the waist and up the back can get hot, so we used a lightweight PrimaLoft fabric to help even out the temperature. This baselayer works best when in contact with the skin, so both fabrics are very stretchy and the cut is slim. On extremely cold days we'll use this as a first layer under a Flanders Warm second base layer, or under a thermal jersey. Most of us use long-sleeve jerseys for a few days in the spring and fall, then extend their range with a vest in cooler weather, and then pull them back out for insulation duty under a jacket in extreme cold. So a thermal jersey shouldn't be too bulky or complicated, yet you don't want boring. This is a modern interpretation of the wind shell jacket, the one you keep in your pocket for a long descent or put on for the first hour of the ride until the day warms up. That jacket used to be a simple affair — a nylon shell — but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut on the generous side to fit all body shapes, both on and off the bike. We've completely reimagined what the shell jacket should be and how it's constructed. We've added panels on the sides and the sleeves in a very high-stretch yet tightly knit fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-to-body fit for aero gains on any terrain, and it actually keeps more heat in than a jacket that's flapping about. We've kept it very compact so that it can pack away into minimal space in a jersey pocket. The waterproof, packable jacket to take on all your rides. It's highly breathable and extremely light, with a great fit. Perfect to have if there is a chance of rain or if you just want extra protection on a long descent. This is our midrange performance short, great for a long ride or a quick hour workout indoors or out. Our endurance evolution fabric is a high-modulus, very matte lycra fabric that feels extremely dry while providing just the right amount of compression. At the leg ending we use a raw-cut edge with vertical silicone strips to keep the leg in place without the pressure that creates the dreaded sausage effect. The bib straps are stretchy enough that you can pull the short down for a pee break without removing your jersey and bibs, while the floating construction allows you to cross the straps on the front or the back, whichever works better for you.
